Im scared someone will break in my house at night .?

So, I have a fear, that someone is going to break into my house. I usually have this fear when I am home alone in the afternoon, i usually solve my fears by locking my doors, having the blinds down, and locking my garage. But at night even though all my doors are locked, I am still terrified of a home invasion. I know it is not likely because I live in a low crime neighborhood. But I still have this fear, I have told my mother about it, but she thinks its irrational and i should toughen up, but its not that simple. I am always scared, Im scared when I am home, Im scared when im coming home. Im just always scared. It has gotten so bad, that I stay up all night, until the sun comes up and once it comes up, I go to sleep in my room, with my door barricaded. i don't know why, I am terrified at night, I just have always been, and we have no alarm, and lots of doors, and plenty of windows. Also my parents don't have any guns. During the afternoon, I babysit my little brother (3) and my little sister (7 months). So if someone breaks into my house, while im babysitting i can't just run to a neighbor's home. I am very paranoid, the slightest noise scares me .and my house is fairly big, so someone could break in. and me not even know it. I just don't know how to solve my fears. So what would I even do if someone really broke in my house, at night, or in the afternoon ?

I have stretch marks on my legs and butt and i think they are absolutely hideous. I want to possibly tone them up or something to tighten the skin and im going to use a spray tan to help as well. im going swimming this week in about 5 days and i want to know how much leg toning excising is needed to have a little effect by then. i am NOT trying to lose weight, but gain muscle mass. if it helps i am 5'9' and 124 lbs. Do talent agents/agencies care if you have a weird last name?

I know that sounds dumb but someone once told me that not only do they look at the obvious; talent, experience etc. but they also take into account how your name sounds/looks. I guess what I mean by that is; the name should be "appealing". If that makes any sense. I've noticed a lot of actors have either exotic or generic names. For example, Lima, Fox, James, Vergara...I'm sure you get the point. But what happens if you have an unappealing name, one that ppl made/make jokes out of? Would this affect one's chance of getting representation or being cast in a "hollywood" movie? Is there any truth to this? I hope there isn't, that would honestly be absurd.

I can only answer two of those questions. For how long do I preform for the judges, try and do your whole act. Make it short, so only a bit of the song, but long enough to show the judges how well you can sing. Just make sure it isn't too long that would bore everyone. And then if you make it, you would go on to the second round that would be wherever they want it to be, I think its in Hollywood, but I'm not sure. After that you keep competing until you are either eliminated or declared winner :D good luck, I'll root for ya.

What can I do for my ACL (it is torn)?

i mean you should be using crutches to help you walk but once it is less painful it is actually good to walk on it. the more motion and strength you get before surgery the easier the recovery is. sometimes you do pre surgery physical therapy i recommend that. yeah you will need surgery pros you will be able to play sports again and your knee will feel almost normal. with out surgery you wont be able to participate in competitive sports anymore and youll have pain a lot of the time. it will always be torn and you run the risk of tearing more ligaments. youll be able to play basketball around 4 to 5 months after surgery but not in a game competitively until around 6 to 7 months after.

How do you justify worshipping and praising a being that sends his creations who didn't believe in Him to hell to burn and be tortured for all of eternity? Most humans aren't even evil enough to do that, it seems like God wouldn't either. If we go to hell, we're suffering for all of eternity for living a crappy 80-100 years of life, where it's difficult to be presented with a reasonable representation of Christ anymore. It seems like, if we choose to leave at the Golden Gates, then we should go to hell, but not for our life on Earth. Please understand that I am not trying to insult Christianity, I am a Christian myself. I am not that sure about it, I have never been asked to do that. But maybe you can type your description on the computer and glue it on the back of your drawing, or staple it. I am thinking you are not a computer "geek" so you would not know but there is probably some way to enter your paper to the computer and write on it. I habe swollen eyes in the.morning and sometimes, when i sleep at different times my eyes are less swollen. It looks really ugly amd makes my eyes look small all day and sometimes till the afternoon. my boyfriend and i have been dating for 2 years both living at home but doing the sleep over thing.. after 2 years of dating and staying at my boyfriends house his mum (after a fight between them, i wasn't involved) then decides that i am not allowed to stay over more then one night a week and after him questioning why shes doing this. she said she made this rule because we couldn't follow her rules of doing the dishes. My child won't sleep through the night at age 4!?

I seriously don't know what to do. We've sabotaged her in some ways. I know this. First, she slept in our room until she was 18 mos. old because we had no choice. She had her own bed and we didn't go to bed with her, but still. She was sick for the majority of her first three years, so more often than not, we soothed her to sleep. About three months ago, we started putting her to bed without us in the room and that was going well, though we've never had problems with her GOING to sleep...just staying asleep. She was getting it. She was only waking once a night. We'd put her back and she was fine. Then three weeks ago she got sick again. She's better now, but she's waking 3-4 times a night and screaming bloody murder if one of us doesn't stay with her...mainly me. She's become ten times more clingy with me than she EVER was. She won't even take a bath without me being in the bathroom as opposed to just daddy. She won't use the bathroom, go to any other room or let me leave the room without following. I'm getting literally 3 hours of broken sleep a night. She goes to daycare and likes it, but where I used to be able to give her a kiss and say "I'll see you this afternoon.", now she cries when I leave, and hangs on my leg until I literally hand her to her teacher. It's killing me! My husband does take her back to her bed so that I can get at least some sleep, but she still wakes several times. Nothing traumatic has happened to her, except that she was home with us for a week solid when she got sick, but it's been almost two weeks and she isn't getting past this separation anxiety. Any advice?

I don't know if this has anything to do with now but back in April, my husband and I had a condom break so I went and got the Plan B Emergency contraception pill. I worked for Navy Fitness. Before you start doing exercises you should learn to do proper stretching. You may want to do that for about one to two weeks and then only do one exercise at a time. I know gym memberships cost money but sometimes the city offers free programs or you can get low cost memberships at the YMCA. It would be good to start with a Trainer or Fitness Specialist and learn to do proper stretches. Just cause you see a program it isn't always the best program for you. I think i have sleeping problems HELP!!!?

For a long long time now I've never been able to sleep well. I usually start getting a little tired around 10 but ill go into my bed at that time and lay there for hours at a time! It takes me forever for my mind to stop thinking about stuff and when I finally fall asleep around 12 to 2 in the morning, Ill sleep until 11 to 1 in the afternoon!! And when I try to get up u can't I just can't get out of bed and when I finally do my body aches help me!!!

Hey, I am 130, and 5'3. I use to weight about 115. I've have had eating disorders in the pass, but now I just want to become healthy and skinny. I have been going to the gym for about 2 months. I cut my diet to mainly no bread or sweets. I eat a lot of veggies and fruit. I mainly only drink water. I do not drink soda and when I drink or eat anything it's normally organic. Lately when I go to the gym I run one mile, jog/fast walk another mile and bike 4 to 5 miles. Then I also work on the other excise machines for about 30 min. I haven't lost a pound. :( I do not know what I am doing wrong. Any Tips or advice would help :(

Is this a common side effect of Fentanyl and Versed administered through IV for colonoscopy?

Yesterday afternoon I had a colonoscopy and was moderately sedated to a "twilight" state. I was given 100 mcg of Fentanyl and 6 mg Versed (according to my post-care sheet) through an IV. I feel fine, other than the fact that everything I drink or eat now tastes like chemicals. I have had other people taste the foods/ drinks and they have said they taste fine, so it is just me tasting it. I have never been sedated before for anything, so I don't know if this is normal or if it could have been cause by these drugs. Has anyone else experienced this?

Pain in chest under left breast, Randomly...?

So I've been having chest pain for a long time now. I think it started when I was about eleven, with stomach pain and when i went to see a doctor they had told me that it was because of constipation because my bowels are messed up. i don't 'go' as much as i should, maybe a couple times a week...so the doctor put me on miralax and it kinda got better but then i started to get pain in my left side and/ or chest randomly when i was about fourteen and i wouldn't be able to really move without the pain worsening and i would have to be crouched or leaned over for it to kinda go away on it's own. it happened like when i would walk or eat fast food, and when it happened it would be hard to breathe, i would gasp for air. so when i went to the doctor they told me it was because of acid reflux issues and they put me on medication that i would take whenever this ooccurred but it didn't really help...but kinda stopped happening after i went on a special diet, you know like stopped eating fast food, fried greasy spicy, things that would cause acid reflux. but after a while i started to eat whatever and i was fine. like maybe another couple of years later it started with some mild pain under my left breast every once and a while...sometimes just when sitting and the same before, i wouldn't be able to move or take any deep breaths without the pain worsening and it go away unless it stayed kinda leaning with my hands over my chest, very still and it would gradually go away. But more recently it's been happening EVERYDAY, and it's like this gripping tight pain and it feels like my insides are just breaking. the other night when i was asleep i really thought i was dreaming because it hurt so bad. the pain just came out of nowhere and i had to hold on to myself in like a fetal position for it go away but anytime i moved it would come shooting back and i was in AGONY, and somehow after maybe 45 minutes or so , maybe because i was in and out of a dazed sleep when this was going on, it stopped when just laid on my right side and didn't move. on other days it happens when im lying down, or if im excising especially. basically it can happen when i do anything. don't drink or smoke or am on any medication. anything helps, would see a doctor but really tight on money right now. so looking for info online. im 18 yr. old female i still have constipation if that could be it....

Ok so I want to lose my stomach fat to get a flat stomach before school starts. My plan is when I wake up I do simple exercises at my house like crunches, situps, pushups, etc. In the morning for about 30 minutes. Then I eat healthy breakfast's and lunch's. Why am I being taxed on my camper?

I purchased a camper a few years ago and put it on a campground lot which I rent. It's been there the entire time. I do not register it for the road or anything; it stays on the lot year round. However, the town office lady told me that I need to let the assessor know that I paid excise tax last year and fill out a form for the assessor so I don't get charged property tax on my camper. I filled this out and turned it in on April 15th. The lady told me I got the assessors paper in on time and to show up before May the 1st to pay my excise tax for this year. I now just showed up to the town office again today to pay my excise tax before May the 1st (today is April 27th). I spoke to a different lady, who is also the owner of the campground, and she told me that I came to late and that I was supposed to have paid my excise tax by April the 1st. She told me also that I am now going to get a bill in the mail for property tax verses excise tax. That is over $100. Need some advise on getting rid of swelling in my calvs.?

About 10 years ago I had a severe dvt in my right leg, from my ankle to my groin, and 3 pulmonary embloli in the lungs. 3 years later had another blood clot in the same leg and 2 years later had one in my left calf. Since then I've been put in a regiment of 10mg of warifarin to keep me at 2-3 on my INR. I use anti emboli compression socks on both legs. My question is, is there a medical procedure I can have done to remove the damaged veins/valves in my leg to permanently reduce the swelling. I've gotten alot of varicose veins from the swelling in the past 10 years. I've also gotten into bodybuilding, so if there's not a medical procedure, is there an excises I can do to reduce the swelling. I'd like my calves to back to normal size and wear shorts again. I've heard of the cosmetic laser thingy you can have done to remove varicose veins. But due to my blood problem I'm worried they will just come back and wont fix the big issue of swelling. Ninjas did exist. Can a doctor legally demand what is left of a prescription?

I was recently placed on Lortab for pain issues with my back (I paid about $90 for this medication). After 2 weeks it turns out that I needed to be put on something that lasted longer, so I was prescribed a drug called Opana. This medication worked very well and I was then given a prescription for a month. This afternoon out of the blue I received a call from the same doctors office DEMANDING I hand over to them what was left of the Lortab. I very politely told them this was not going to happen because, while I no longer needed the medication, I had paid for it myself and could find no good reason I should do this. I have no intent to do anything illegal/improper with these pills, but I was amazed this was even asked of me.

My puppy has a rash on tummy and leg/arm pits?

My poor little Lilly. She will be 3 months tomorrow. Over the past about 5 days she has developed a rash on her tummy. It goes across her whole belly and is all red with little red spots and is particularly bad where her belly meets her arms and legs. Some days it has been worse then others because there were times when we thought it was going away but has yet to do so. We have not changed her diet which consists of authority large breed puppy food - bully sticks and bones. She does go out into the grass every day and her and her sister play all the time - the rash has not affected her eating, drinking, or personality in any way. We did take her to the vet the other day for another reason in which she needed an antibiotic, the vet gave us the option to do a skin scraping but he didn't make it seem like it was anything serious so we did not do it because we were already spending quite a bit that day. I have been giving her half a benedryl which he recommended to help her itchiness but I haven't noticed it helping much. Why did my dog have a seizure?

I have a 12 yr. old terrier mix. Found out like 6 months ago she has diabetes. I have to give her insulin two times a day every 12 hours, i give her 15 units each time, She started off with 6 units 6 months ago and it did no good cause she was still peeing (and drinking a ton of water) all over the house, so she finally got under control at 30 units total a day, which the vet said was totally fine, and also said she was capable of having seizures sometime down the road from the insulin; but she's been having 30 units a day every 12 hours for the last 3 months I would say, why would i come home randomly at 4 in the afternoon and find her having a seizure? On wednesday my friend had a small procedure done. Her pap smear came back abnormal and they found some stops on her cervix that are not normal. BEcause she is pregnant they only took a small sample. Will increasing the psi of my ac unit cause my energy bill to increase?

My energy bill has been outrageous lately and I'm trying to lower it. However, I was told that keeping my place at 78 degrees should lower it. The thing is that the ac doesn't catch up in the afternoon, so it gets really hot in my apartment. The other day I had a maintenance guy come buy and he adjusted the psi of the ac unit to 75 to help get the place colder. I'm wondering now that this has been done, will this cause my energy bill to increase even if I still keep the thermostat at 78 degrees in my apartment?

Which is Better For PCOS?

I am currently taking Metformin 2000mg a day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) but sometimes I forget one of the dosage. I'm not deaf and the only thing I have about research on deaf people is the show Switched at Birth. But I do have some advice, I realize that your character can read lips well, but try wearing ear plugs and walking around without being able to hear for a day or two. Two nights ago i accidentaly clicked on a bad link on Bungie.net forums, and my virus software told me it was bad so i exited it out. but yesterday afternoon when I went on Bungie.net it keeps (i guess) refreshing it self, it keeps going on the page 4 times, but the screen is white, the best I can describe it is if you refreshed your page 4 times really fast by clicking the refresh button 4 times in a row. Cat Napping 5 Month Old Son?

My son normally goes down between 9:30pm-10:30pm and he will normally sleep until 7, sometimes an hour longer sometimes an hour shorter but generally he's a 7am waker. Anyways, my question is he used to take a 1-2 hour nap in the morning, a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and an hour nap at night, but the last week or two he has been napping horribly, he's not following the same schedule we have been for months, and he's barely sleeping 30 minutes each name, what's going on with him? Is this normal, someday's he's not getting enough sleep and he's so fussy and cranky.

The problem is that I work full time second shift for my real job so I intern in the morning and work in the afternoon I’m exhausted. Should I continue with this internship or try and find a new internship? I’m in Michigan.

How Long Until I See Results? HELP STRESSING?

Sooo i just finished 3 weeks of working out.. and not seeing results. i just want to know when i will start seeing all my hard work start to pay off. Soo i pretty much workout at night and occasionally ill work out in the afternoon-when i wake up- it is summer. 3 of those days i do Strength training 3 sets each. Then finish off with 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. And then 2 of those days i do 30 minutes yoga and then 30 minutes of the elliptical. Is there any really good exercises i should try? I don't have a lot of weight to lose, but i feel like i really need to, to feel more confident with myself. How can i melt off this fat Ive put on? Also, i don't really know where to start with my diet... i need help with that, and since it is summer its a bit hard to stay on track. BUT if i learn somethings- not just from what Google says then hopefully it will give me some confidence knowing that what i am doing is actually going to work.

Any thoughts on a congested kitten?

I have a nine week old kitten who has been sneezing quite a bit. He's acting normal (as far as I can tell I've only had him two days) he eats, drinks, uses the litter box and plays, but the only problem is he sounds somewhat congested and sneezes very often. This morning he had a little fit of sneezing and sounded really mucasy, then I noticed he'd sneezed some blood. It's only happened that time, for a few sneezes. What's going on with my body?

Okay so I was supposed to start my period the 2nd now it's the 11th and still nothing. I took two home pregnancy tests and they both came out negative. As long as you show rigor and proficiency then it will be good for college. For example, taking all AP classes for one year and gets let's say mostly B's in these classes is not as good as someone who balances out their schedule with AP and regular courses but gets all A's for that year. It's not really about how many AP's you take, but how many you can handle. Colleges don't require a certain amount of quotas for a given school. As long as you meet the requirements and your transcript looks good, you will be accepted. 15 AP classes is enough to get into an ivy league school if you're marks were good for those classes and showing involvement and leadership in high school.

Just thinking this one through, I feel like there is usually an added culture barrier or something between black and white. I think it's sort of assumed from my side that you're probably in to hip hop and thuggy black guys unless I see you demonstrate or in a situation that show's somehow that it's not necessarily true. I feel your pain! I use to wish the same thing! I didn't want to take birth control but i did want a shorter/lighter period! And sadly there is no natural remedie! BUT...I have found that using tampons rather than pads works for me! Tampons are much cleaner and you dont feel the blood gushing out! Ibuprofen does help with cramps but does not make your period lighter and or shorter. Since you only get your period once in a while instead of every month your period will probably be heavier due to all of the blood build up, if it truly bothers you i would sit down with your mom and tell you feel you need birth control because your period is just to heavy and ruins everyday life for you when you have it! She's probably worried about you becoming sexually active...Well good luck!

My cartilage piercing HURTS.?

So my friend pierced my cartilage with a needle yesterday afternoon. The earring is new i have never used it yet so it's pretty sanitary. The piercing stopped hurting after like a half hour yesterday. But when i woke up this morning it started to hurt pretty bad. It still hurts a little. It's swollen and red.
